What was the objective behind your collaboration?Create a visually appealing and high performing website without sacrificing our high-ranking SEO standings with Google

What did you enjoy the most during your collaboration?At first, the owner was pleasant. Upon launch, 331 errors came back from Google, and I knew I'd made a horrible choice.

Steck Insights Web Design's answer:Thank you sharing your perspective, Tamera. We tried multiple times to discuss this over a call but you were not willing to meet to talk through the concerns. We were hired to migrate your site to a new platform, which we did. We also offered a refund for maintenance services rendered. Through email we addressed your concerns and with each concern that was addressed -- you continued to bring up new and unrelated issues. These were outside of the contract for which we were hired. We demonstrated that we followed best practices in creating 301 redirects for your posts. We also showed you, based on Google Analytics data, that your website traffic was not affected by the changes we made. I've seen no evidence that your Google rankings were affected, nor your online reputation. Your assertion that you suffered a financial blow due to traffic ranking change is difficult to believe, considering that Google Analytics shows you were receiving under 300 visits per month before you hired us and that didn't change after we performed the work. It's also good to note that Google Search Console shows you were receiving approximately 150 views in search results per day (not visits to the site or clicks) back in September of 2023. Google Search Console shows that this number has remained the same average after we migrated the website. So I'm not seeing proof that there was "unilateral decimation of [your] Google rankings." We do provide site speed optimization as a service, but this was not a service you hired us for. I'm sorry that you are disappointed. We performed the work we were hired to perform and would be glad to discuss this with you or any future clients who have questions about it.
