Description At the age of 24, Pastor Rick underwent a profound transformation that altered the course of his life. In September 1994, while listening to the influential heavy metal rock group Metallica, he recognized the imperative need to relinquish his former lifestyle. Subsequently, he embraced a newfound sense of purpose, spiritual values, and faith. This pivotal second chance sparked a powerful momentum in Pastor Rick's journey, motivating him to dedicate himself to helping those ensnared in cycles of destructive behavior.
Amidst the current challenges, Pastor Rick stands as a servant leader, providing guidance both locally and internationally. He serves as the Pastor of Iglesia Crosspoint, a bilingual church in Bellaire, Texas, and as a Staff Evangelist at West University Baptist Church. Additionally, he is a John Maxwell Certified Life Coach and Spiritual Motivator. Pastor Rick not only imparts knowledge in his teachings but also embodies the values he advocates.
The 1st Stone Recovery Support Group, a 12-week life intervention program, aims to equip young individuals and parents with transformative content that reshapes thinking, inspires action, and nurtures purpose. This support group challenges participants to overcome the boundaries of addictive behaviors and emotional struggles, steering them towards a purpose-driven existence.
Covering essential topics such as Relapse Prevention, Attitude, Choices, Emotional Stability, Recovery Support, the 4 Pillars (King/Queen, Warrior, Mentor, Friend), and Spiritual Foundation, this program accepts referrals from state institutions, courts, and the community. Evaluation of each referral is conducted on a case-by-case basis. Upon successful completion of the 12-week program, participants receive a certificate of completion, with the service provided free of charge. Graduates of the 1st Stone Support Recovery Group are further supported through a 6-month mentorship program to facilitate the application of learned principles in real-life scenarios. All classes are conducted in person and are exclusively in the Spanish language.
