Although we’re proud prodigies of the digital age, we have a deep respect for human interaction. Authentic communication happens when one human interacts with another – eye to eye, idea to idea. In fact, we believe brands can be human too. But too often they are shoved into a box with a step by step guide on how to assemble.
We do what humans do best, get creative. For any problem there will always be a standard answer. Yet, brands don’t need another cookie-cutter answer; they need creative ideas and a strategic partner to make those ideas become reality.
Here’s the thing, we know that our clients are smart. You know your brand better than anyone, so we take the time to actively listen. We ask questions, a lot of questions – then, using traditional and non-traditional methods we create experiences through which brands can communicate and start conversations with their audience. We are not here to sell, but to engage – creatives who build relationships between brand and audience. That’s effective marketing.

A car is obviously more than just 4 wheels and an engine. With all the models out there, it’s becoming more of a challenge for brands to decipher what exactly is happening in the mind of a driver that loves being behind the wheel of their ride. If you’ve ever driven a BMW then you know firsthand just how enticing the relationship between driver and vehicle can be.
Our concept manifested into a love triangle between a couple and their car. In our story, the girl experiences jealousy at first. Her guy’s attention is solely focused on the enjoyment he gets out of driving this car. She feels threatened by it. As the story progresses, she realizes its the experience of driving the car that she was after all along. Her jealousy has transitioned into envy for the enjoyment that driving the car provides. Human emotions are complex and the actions and motives of our characters revolve around them. A BMW is desirable. What would you do to get behind the wheel?

As a 92-year old company, Mellano & Company has built a very successful traditional wholesale floral business. However in the digital age, they were falling behind. They were in need of a strategic partner who would lead them boldly into the digital-driven marketplace.
We began with an online presence audit, followed by in-person discovery trips across the country to different location hubs. Fueled by a deep understanding of their core values, we discovered that while Mellano plays many roles – as a Farmer, a Wholesaler, a Florist, a Distributer, and in some cases a Buyer, there was one thing that has led to exceptional customer loyalty for almost a century – a deeply held core value of delivering quality products at any cost.

In life we do things to impress others. This can be reflected through what we say and what we buy, but do these things really impress ourselves? So we asked the question, what truly impresses you?
Hip came to us with a few challenges. While they offered a diverse selection of prestige & modern furniture, their website wasn’t accurately expressing that. In addition to an image problem, there was a logistics problem when it came to keeping customers informed with the latest lines available inside their showroom. We modeled their ideal customer and designed a simple and clean web experience which attracted the user. The outcome was so impactful that Hip asked us to expand our work into a full 360 campaign for the entire brand.
